An increase in workload means that we have an exciting new role for an HR Administrator to support the HR Advisor and Chief Operating Officer at Unicorn. We are a small friendly team who work closely to deliver a professional HR service to the Group of Companies and work hard to maintain the support, engagement and motivation of our people.


 

Responsibilities



  • Updating HR Records and ensuring that accurate records are maintained for all employees.

  • Collating and issuing all relevant paperwork for all new starters.

  • Collating and issuing all relevant paperwork for any leavers

  • Drafting correspondence to employees detailing any changes to their terms of employment.

  • Conducting pre-employment vetting checks for all new starters.

  • Assisting with the co-ordination of the appraisal process.

  • Administer employee’s probation review processes.

  • Reply to requests for information such as employment and mortgage reference requests.

  • Administration of the Company benefits.

  • Maintaining and reporting on absence records including annual leave entitlements and sickness.

  • Producing Management Information as required by Line Managers, the COO and HR Advisor.


Skills and Competencies


Essential



  • Understands and implements processes

  • Appreciates and understands the need with confidentiality in dealing with all HR issues

  • Communicates well both in writing and verbally

  • Uses own initiative and can work independently

  • Proficient use of all Microsoft programmes

We are looking for a Software QA Tester to join our platform development team at Unicorn Training Group in Bournemouth.


We are the UK’s leading financial services eLearning solutions provider delivering exceptional eLearning experiences through our award-winning learning platform Unicorn LMS.


As a member of an agile team you will be involved in testing project work which adds new features or enhances existing features in the Unicorn LMS platform. You will be joining the QA function within the Development Team to test and ensure the highest quality in deliverables.

Responsibilities



  • Working closely with development, projects and helpdesk teams and escalating queries in a timely fashion.

  • Keeping Development team and Product Owner aware of any issues affecting testing or the quality of the Unicorn Platform.

  • Development of robust test scripts that have sufficient coverage to ensure quality deliverables are released to production.

  • Communicating testing feedback

  • Ensure defects are correctly fixed and perform regression testing

  • Assisting with Builds and Rollouts where required


Skills and Competencies



  • Essential:

    • Experience of testing web-based systems, including the user interface/web screen.

    • Understanding of software development life cycle and the role testing plays within that.

    • Understanding and using test plans and scripts

    • An understanding of technical issues and the ability provide constructive feedback.

    • Excellent documentation skills, attention to detail and an ability to communicate detailed technical issues to stakeholders and to the internal business/ project team.

    • Good analytical skills

    • Good verbal and written communication skills.

We are looking for a capable and motivated individual to join a brand new Marketing Department within the business. The Marketing Executive will report to, and work closely with, the Marketing Manager to help drive forward group marketing activities. This is a varied role that will focus primarily on content creation for use across online and offline channels. The role will be based in London but will involve travel to Bournemouth and other locations.


The ideal candidate will have some experience working within a content marketing team, or in a role requiring similar responsibilities. Any experience of – or interest in – SEO, web analytics, design or events would be advantageous.

Responsibilities



  • Produce regular blog copy to support our SEO efforts (key topics include: Governance, Risk & Compliance / Custom eLearning / Serious Games & Learning Apps / LMS (Learning Management System) – all to be a mixture of industry trends/developments and more product focussed pieces around Unicorn offerings)

  • Assist with the creation of other new marketing assets (online/offline) – booklets/whitepapers/presentations + power points /templates for sales team

  • Keep offline assets up to date and in line with website

  • Assist with planning and delivery of key events (Unicorn and 3rd party) Including scoping venues; sourcing and ordering promotional items, assisting with logistics etc

  • Be prepared to learn to take on some responsibility for interpreting and producing basic analytics reports

  • Support the marketing manager in ad hoc activities


Skills and Competencies



  • Strong writing skills – experience producing copy for a variety of platforms, especially digital

  • [Related to the above] some understanding of search engine optimisation (SEO) and how to effectively incorporate this when producing digital content

  • Any understanding of PPC/AdWords valuable but not essential.

  • Experience working with graphic designers (briefing/reviewing work) – ability to consider design in content creation.

  • Experience in event organisation/administration/planning and execution

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word and Powerpoint)

  • Team player with initiative and the ability to work independently when required

  • Good attention to detail

  • Friendly and flexible with a positive attitude to work
