Conduct Rules Update Coming Soon

Conduct Rules Update Coming Soon

With all solo-regulated firms coming under the scope of the SM&CR, for some of you rolling out role related Conduct Rules is a training requirement to be completed by December 2020. It is also mandatory for a Senior Manager to be allocated a Prescribed Responsibility for this training and oversight.

All other firms may well also be considering a refresher, therefore we are pleased to announce some ‘coming very soon’ enhancements to our Conduct Rules pathway and associated role related case studies.

Firstly to help modernise the course, we have given the look and feel a thorough overhaul, and by moving to our latest eCreator templates this gives the functionality for administrators to print the course to a PDF. While doing this, we’ve taken the opportunity to streamline some of the wording (although what it says remains the same).

Secondly, we’ve revisited our list of case studies that support this pathway and taken the opportunity to create extra which widens the departments and job roles covered (click here for the full list). With more of these in both customer facing and operational roles, this means we now have more than 50 individual job roles covered . That’s an individual case study for nearly every job role in financial services! Still with the core learning about the Conduct Rules.

ON RELEASE OF THE NEW CONDUCT RULES PATHWAY, WE WILL BE ARCHIVING THE LEGACY ‘CONDUCT RULES’ PATHWAY ON THE 1st OF AUGUST.

In our legacy pathway we have the following activities:

  • The Conduct Rules – Introductory Video
  • Understanding the Conduct Rules
  • The Conduct Rules - Case studies
  • The Conduct Rules - Assessment
  • The Conduct Rules - Summary of key points

As this content is being archived, it will no longer be supported, updated or maintained. Where users have been registered to the legacy content, this will remain in users‘ ‘My Activities’ even after archiving. Users will either need to complete the activities or administrators will need to cancel the registrations. Find out how to cancel a user from an activity here

The legacy content will also remain in existing pathways, for example those created and used for induction, until they are removed. Find out about archiving activities here

You may also want to then add the new activities to those pathways. Find out how to add content to pathways here

Where learners have already completed these courses, the CPD achieved will remain.
