SkillsServe 4.7 Release Notes
We’re pleased to announce that SkillsServe 4.7 launched in January 2014.
What’s new in this version?
Public Wiki Spaces
|Is it a new feature or an upgrade?||This is an upgrade SkillsServe’s Wiki Spaces area.|
|How it works…||When creating a new Wiki page, Administrators can opt to make the pages public, so they can be viewed before logging in to SkillsServe.|
This means you could, for instance, put a link to a public Wiki page on the login page with information on subjects such as buying courses or how to access the system.
|Why is this beneficial?||You can provide information to people without them having to log into SkillsServe. This can even be used for building a public website around SkillsServe.|
|Default or configurable?||This feature is available by default on SkillsServe 4.7.|
Number of Items in the RSS Portlet
|Is it a new feature or an upgrade?||This is an upgrade to the RSS portlet on the SkillsServe homepage.|
|How it works…||When configuring RSS portlets, you can now specify the number of articles (between one and ten) to display.|
|Why is this beneficial?||This gives more control over the size of RSS portlets and the arrangement of your homepage.|
|Default or configurable?||This is a configurable option through Site Settings section of SkillsServe. Please contact your account manager for more details.|
