Unicorn LMS 6.6 Release Notes

Our Unicorn LMS 6.6 includes further enhancements to CPD, Diagnostic Assessments, payment vouchers and SAML.

CPD Adjustments
You can now increase or decrease CPD requirements for users to accommodate extended leave or for carrying over a CPD shortfall from one year to the next.

How does it work?

Adding Manual Adjustments: If the CPD scheme has adjustments enabled, navigate to the user’s profile through ‘Organisation and Users’ from the main menu. On the user’s profile select the ‘CPD Log’ tab, the ‘Adjustments’ section is displayed underneath the main CPD Log section. To add an adjustment, click on the button ‘Add Adjustment’ and proceed through the options to create the entry. When complete the adjustment will then be shown within the table of adjustments. The adjustment will also be displayed in the users CPD Log above their CPD Status.

Add Automatic Adjustments: When this feature is enabled, all users' CPD which has a shortfall for their scheme will adjust automatically when a new CPD year is rolled over.

How do I get it?
The CPD adjustments feature is currently enabled by Unicorn for specified company CPD schemes. If you would like this enabled on your company CPD scheme please contact your Relationship Manager or the Help Desk to discuss. Professional body CPD schemes may not permit adjustments. Diagnostic Assessments Enhancements
Activities in the Find Learning catalogue now display the amount of questions available for Diagnostic Assessments. When collating activities in the ‘Find Learning’ basket for a Diagnostic Assessment, users now have clarity of which items have questions and how many are available.

How does it work?
When you find an activity, the number of questions available for Diagnostic Assessments is displayed next to the 'Question Icon' below the activity description. This will also be displayed next to each activity when reviewing your basket along with how many questions are allocated to the Diagnostic and Pathway Assessments when added.

How do I get it?
This is a standard functionality and is available to all users who can create Diagnostic Assessments. For more in depth information about Diagnostic Assessments, view our Help Guide.

Payment Voucher for Organisations
You can now restrict vouchers to specific organisations and units.

How does it work?
Go to the 'Finance' area through the main menu, and then select the tab 'Vouchers'. Choose 'Add Voucher' and add the details you would like to add for the discount voucher. Select the option to 'Restrict to Organisations and Units'. Select the Organisations/units you would like the voucher to be restricted to. When set up is complete, click 'Submit' to save the voucher.

How do I get it?
The ability to manage this feature is available to Super Administrators with access to the 'Finance' area.

SAML Enhancements
We have made the setup process easier for customers when they need to implement SAML single sign on and we now support default identity providers where there are multiple in-bound SAML integrations.

How does it work?
We have added the ability for customer engineers to see the results of SAML requests for debugging purposes during configuration. When enabled the request result is displayed on the login failed page showing the reasons the request failed.

The default provider is configured by Unicorn in the SAML setup area.

How do I get it?

When will I get 6.6?

All customers are being upgraded to 6.6 automatically over the next 4 weeks.
